TAMPA, Fla., September 4, 2018 – The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) offers a full range of media and consumer-friendly resources to support press coverage of Tropical Storm Gordon, now churning across the Gulf of Mexico, as well as other storms the 2018 hurricane season may generate.

According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Gordon is expected to bring hurricane conditions to portions of the central Gulf Coast including high winds, heavy rain, flash flooding and storm surge. The NHC has urged that preparations to protect life and property be “rushed to completion.”
